Xu Da in The Xuzhou Rebellion. Xu, Da, garrison commander of Xuzhou City during the Yuan Dynasty, was a great military strategist who rebelled bacuse he could not put up with the tyranny of the Yuan emperors. In this Peking opera he wears make-up with three tile-shaped patches of red, a symbol of integrity, and the hat of an official.
