Xiang Yu in The King Parts With His Favorite. On the Peking opera stage, his famous king of Western Chu in the last years of the Qin Dynasty wears a unique white make-up with oblique eyes and a longevity symbol painted over the forehead and the bridge of the nose, capped by a helmet known as a fuzi (man of masculinity). This unusual make-up is intended to portray him as an extraordinary man with ''the strength to uproot mountains and a courage that tops the world''.
