Wu Han in Execution in a Prayer Hall. When Wang Mang usurped the throne of Western Han, Wu Han, garrison commander of Tongguan, married the usurper's daughter. Later, he rebelled and has his wife executed. In this opera, he wears a make-up with three tile-shaped patches of red. His head is bare and his predicament as he tries to coerce his wife.
